Oh la la la lalalalalaaaaaaaaaa *coughing* lalalalalalala
Went to the ADWAS Auction last Friday and it was awesome. Saw so many things I wanted to buy but no....Xmas shopping! Argh, it's an expensive holiday! Talked with so many people there. Afterwards, we met at Capitol Club, a bar on Capitol Hill. It's an awesome bar. Small, quaint, and well, dark. Had a good chat with Saam. My kid stayed overnight at her friend's place.
School is going good. I'm trying to set up a system but so far it's not working. I've been scrambling to remember assignments and trying to catch up with reading. What did not help is that I was in alot of pain for most of the quarter. At times, it was unbearable for me to truly concentrate on school. *sigh* The pain is going away. About freaking time!
Last Friday, I also got my new hearing aid. Oyeeee, it's a loud little thing with an attitude. In fact I think it's packed with steroids. Felt strange hearing alot of things.
My kid's teacher told me that my kid's been keeping the time-out chair warm. A chip off the old block, I guess.
Till then

Celebrating an anniversary of my birth!
Oyeeeee, it's been a while since I posted on my blog and I apologize. I celebrated my birthday last Saturday (my actual birthday's on Monday) and it was a blast. Ash, Saam, Ian, Lisa, Kelly, Trevor, Ben, David, Corkie, Gerardo, Tamara, Aaron, Tafie, Adam, Nat, Trevor's brother and his three friends, Scott, and Alex came to help celebrate. I get the feeling I forgot somebody, hmm....if I did, I deeply apologize. It was an awesome time surrounded by wonderful people. I feel I am a very fortunate man to have such wonderful people in my life. We celebrated at Dante's, a bar on Roosevelt Way. The grub was GOOD! The biggest surprise of that night was Scott and Alex showing up. I was seriously blown away. Then Scott made me drink three shots of MacNaughton's....I already had quite a few glasses of beer and had some more afterwards. Surprisingly, I was fine. Usually my body cannot tolerate beer and whiskey at the same time. I think it comes with age.
While we were at Dante's, my kid was with a babysitter. She's 16 and deaf, not Deaf. But she has alot of spunk and knows what she stands for. It's admirable to see that in a deaf high school student, ya know.
Monday, my actual birthday, my kid and I went to meet Ash at Ha Na, a Japanese restaurant. One of the best in Seattle. It was nice. Went window shopping for a while.
I got a parent-teacher conference at noon today. If my kid's been a good kid at school then I'm gonna give her hell cuz she was anything but good at home. She's actually been sweet for the last couple of days. Hmm......either that my kid's testing the boundaries or I gotta change some things around home...maybe its my parenting ways that need to be changed. *sigh*
Live free and enjoy life! :-)

Riding on Father Time's winged horse
Go, horse, go! Wait! Slow down! Hey, slooooooow down! *CRASH*
That one hurt!
School is going good except that I lost one of my books and it was needed for me to participate in the weekly discussion about what we read in the book. It will arrive tomorrow. *sigh*
On top of that, I got a research paper to work on.
I had to turn down an opportunity to talk to Deaf youths about the importance of school tomorrow night cuz of school. I feel bad about that. I'm hoping I can make it up somehow. Just wanted to get some things done before this weekend. My kid and I will stay at Ash's apartment. I can't wait to see her on Friday! We had an awesome date last Saturday night. We went to our restaurant and we were ready to walk around downtown Seattle but it was raining. Instead, we just laid on her bed and watched "Hitch". It's a good and funny movie. Will Smith did a good job.
Last Saturday, Nebraska lost a heartbreaker versus Texas Tech. *sigh* 4-1 is their record.
Minnesota didn't play last weekend which is good, I think. They're 1-3. *sigh*
November 2nd, Minnesota Timberwolves will play their first game! Go T-wolves!
My cats, Geronimo and Kolohe, are raising some feline hell as usual.
My kid's got some good and bad days. Parenthood...argh!
As I close my eyes, I can visualize myself sitting on the beach in Hawaii watching the waves as they crash the shore. A light warm breeze plays with my hair. I get up and run to jump in the warm salt water. Oy, I gotta go back! Ash, let's go to Haleiwa! :-*
I got a craving to go on another road trip........
Fall's here and the leaves are a-fallin'! Pretty! But I miss summer :-( It was an awesome summer!
Ok, that's it for now
Till then amigos y amigas
Eat, drink, and be merry!

More facts of life!
17) Share your knowledge, it's a way to achieve immortality.
18) Bush still sucks. The only reason he flew over the hurricane disaster areas is to check on his "investments". Bloody bastard.
19) When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
-Hey Bush, I'm still waiting for you to resign!
-Hey Republicans, I'm still waiting for your apology!
-Hey Congress, I'm still waiting for you to impeach that monkey of a president!
20) If you have awesome friends, consider yourself lucky. I am extremely lucky.
21) We should have a National Moron Day dedicated to our wonderful president.
Ta da for now :-)

It's October! *run for your life*
Iowa State vs Nebraska - both teams are undefeated - only one will come out on top - Go Nebraska!
It's October 1st, 30 days until Halloween!
School's going well.
Yesterday, I had a technological headache! I couldn't get online so I called Comcast. We were on the phone for an hour until they figured that something was wrong with the router I was using. I called D-Link about the router and they figured out that it simply needed to be reconfigured. They admitted that they didn't know why it needed to be reconfigured but sometimes it happens. Technology!
Today, my love will come over and we relax together in front of the ol' boob tube. I can't wait!

A victory, a party, and an apartment
Been almost a week since school started and already my plate is filling up fast. Last weekend, I helped my love move to an apartment with Saam. The apartment's awesome! New carpet! It even got a washer and dryer. Lucky them!
We also surprised Pam last Friday. Ash arranged a surprise birthday party for her. Pam told me later that night that it was the first birthday party she ever had since she was little. Now I know how much that night meant to her and I'm so glad I could be a part of it.
Yes! Minnesota's 1-2! They beat the Saints! (sorry N.O. fans)

School starts today and life goes on
Today's the first day of school! yay! Been going through the information and it's alot to absorb but yeah, eventually, I'll get the hang of it.
My kid's 8 years old and she's been a pain in the poor ol' arse! Kids! *sigh* Parenthood *shaking head*
My 5th cousin, who is also Deaf, has a tumor behind his heart and declined treatment. He is lying on his deathbed as I type this. I feel for his family. Larry, thanks for the memories and I love you. I'll keep the memories with me always.
I got a burning desire to go to the mountains and the ocean.
Bloody Bush
Bloody Republicans
Bloody Bengals
Till then, people
Live life and enjoy life
Ta-da

The God of Football does not like me!
*sigh* The Vikings are now 0-2. They got hammered by the bloody Bengals 37-8. Oh, mighty Football God, Lord of the Turf and Keeper of the Pigskin Ball, oh, why do you torture me so?
On the upside: Nebraska is now 3-0! Go Cornhuskers!

Oy...the fun begins
Fall's creeping closer and closer....wheee, what a summer! Let's see...went skydiving, rode a plane to Hawai'i, drove a car to South Dakota, and rode a train to Los Angeles. Helped beautify my parents' front yard. It looks awesome!
I'm officially a Western Washington University student and I'm so looking forward to it. In 2 years, I will get my BA in Human Services!
Had an awesome date with my love last Friday. We ate at Jai Thai then took a hot bath together. Went to her mother's new house. It's nice! Helped clean her old house also. I cleaned it so well, I think the house was feeling a little, um, violated. It was actually good therapy.
My to-do list is getting longer as I type this. Bloody world, I think everytime I check something off the list, the world spins faster and adds 5 more to my list. Bloody world we live in.
Ahh, New Orleans....Katrina.....stupid Bush adminstration. Hell, the Canadians arrived to help before our own government arrived!!!! The Bush adminstration is officially an embarassment to this country and should be eliminated! I think it's better to let the city go but it's always good to see a fighting spirit rising out of something like this, wouldn't ya agree?
I'll post another blog sometime soon, ok?

Mahalo, Hawai'i with aloha!
Mahalo = Thank you in Hawaiian
Wheee, Hawai'i was fabulous! The ocean hitting the coast with such furor that I just can not help but wonder.........The natives burning with desire and the ocean, in its own way, calms them down.
Where to start? We stayed at three different places: Michelle's mother's place in Portlock, a condo in Waianae, and a hostel in Haleiwa. Visited Waikiki, Ala Moana Beach, and the city of Honolulu. It reminded me alot of Vancouver, BC with its skyscrapers and location at the foot of the mountains. We stopped at Hanauma Bay and oy, it's paradise! We also stopped by Cockroach Cove and watched three sea turtles and a dog playing with each other. The show went on for at least 15 minutes!
I learned that in most places, they got two price systems: one for the locals and another for the tourists. Hawai'i's expensive, man! But well worth it. I wanna go back! The ocean was at a perfect temperature. At Ala Moana Beach, we stayed there for about 4 hours and I stayed in the water 99.5% of the time (the other 5%, I had to get out of the water to use the restroom).
We also visited the Hawaii Center for the Deaf and the Blind. They got 85 students there and they have a bi/bi program there. The students are lucky! Nice campus also.
There is so much to tell but most of the things are escaping from me right now.
Thank you, Michelle for being a wonderful tour guide!
Thank you, Marge for letting us stay at your place. You're a wonderful Hawaiian hostess!
Wheee.....tomorrow, we're off to South Dakota!!!!!!
South Dakota or bust!
Till then, amigos y amigas
Enjoy life and live free

Planes, trains, and automobiles
Wheee.......it's gonna be a busy month in August for on the 28th of July, Ash and I will fly all the way to Hawai'i and return on the 7th of August. On the 9th of August, Ash, Sunshine, and I will drive to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to visit my family and return on the 23rd of August. Then on the 24th of August, Sunshine and I will ride the train all the way down to LaLaLand. *thinking* I must be bloody nuts.
Last week Thursday, Edwin had his bachelor party and it all started at Hooters. There was this one cute waitress who could sign. Came to find out that my sister and I used to babysit her and her older sister a long time ago. On Saturday, the 23rd, I had the honor of performing Edwin and Lisa's marriage. It was an experience I will cherish. They're such a rare couple. I felt very honored when they asked me and I was very glad I was able to do this for them.
Facts of life:
11) Seattle's awesome in the summer!
12) We could always learn a lesson or two from each other no matter who we or they are.
13) The world is one big soap opera.
14) Republicans suck.
15) Be gentle with the earth.
16) George W. Bush is the worst president in U.S. history. How he won a 2nd term is beyond me.
I think the trip I'm most excited for is a tossup between Hawai'i and South Dakota (I know y'all are scratching your heads at this one) but, yeah, Hawai'i, I get to spend over a week alone with my love and South Dakota, I get to show my love where I grew up so that she can have a better idea of where I came from. South Dakota's a land where men are men and the buffalo are nervous.
Speaking of marriage, why is it that two men or two women who have been together for so long are not allowed by law to marry each other while I can go to a bar, grab a woman, drive down to Las Vegas, and get married just like that?!?!? Some things just does not make sense! Canada recently became the 4th country to legalize gay marriage. (Way to go, Canada!)
Ok, ok, I'll stop for now.
Enjoy life and live free.
Until next time.

First time for everything.......I guess
After seeing all those blogs.....I got to wondering what it's like to have a blog so here it is:
Facts of life:
1)Bouncers are assholes and get away with it. I think it's usually the fact that they're bigger and taller than I am.
2)Love's a piece of shit but in the long run, it's a good piece of shit.
3)Napoleon said, "A beautiful woman is pleasing to the eye. A good woman is pleasing to the heart. One is a jewel and the other a treasure."
4)George W. Bush is an idiotic moron. He wouldn't know the difference between his face and his arse if both of them hit him in the face on either end.
5)"Don't mess with Texas" stems from the fact that George W. Bush messed up every single damn thing in Texas to the point that it's too messed up for us to mess with it.
6)L.A. is not all it's cracked up to be.
7)A lie becomes the truth when one wants to believe it.
8)Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.
9)People with college degrees who look down upon those without degrees, remember this: You guys may run the world but you cannot do it without the things made by the blue collar workers.
10)Supermodels are butt ugly!
There are more but I will post them once in a while. In the meantime, enjoy life and live free.
